Mov Hotel Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia
If you find yourself in Kuala Lumpur then wandering the back streets and alley ways of Bukit Bintang is a must. The vibrant colours, collection of boutique cafes, bars and even gelato bars are exciting and delicious. It was here that we discovered a new gem to the area and I couldn’t pass up finding out a little more about it.

Back streets of Bukit Bintang, KL.
Mov Hotel is the newest kid on the block having just opened in February of this year. The bright lights and bold astro turf out the front lured me in and I’m so glad it did.

Matt and the kids went back to the place we were currently staying and I went to discover more about this cute hotel. I was greeted at the door by a lovely security guard and then welcomed by a happy and smiley team in a foyer that was contemporary and gorgeous.

The lovely Nadine greeted me and, after explaining who I was, she gladly took me on a tour of this fab new place.
As you know, I am always on the look out for amazing stays for a family so because of that Nadine took me to their Loft Room consisting of a King bed downstairs and two single beds upstairs.

Two single beds upstairs
Wow!
The floor to double height ceiling windows overlooking the city scape and twin towers of KL had me stumble on my words. I wasn’t expecting this from a back alley little hotel and this wasn’t even the end of it.

The bathroom is open planned and gorgeous. Doors on both the shower and toilet of course. The TV and fridge cabinet has been custom made for the room and is a perfect fit for the lux decor of this contemporary space.

Simple yet stunning bathroom
The kids beds are up (18, the kids counted) stairs overlooking the parents bed and those amazing windows. I knew this space would work perfectly for kids 5yrs and above. Teens would probably love it even more!

Nadine said that she’d saved the best till last so I was intrigued and followed on. We headed to the roof and there was the rooftop pool, hangout area and gym. This same view overlooking the KL city scape was incredible and being able to enjoy that while swimming or working out is pretty cool.

Rooftop pool!

That workout view almost enticed me to try it out
After searching high and low for accommodation that worked for our family, had a pool and was in the Bukit Bintang area, I couldn’t work out why I had missed this one? The answer was because it wasn’t yet open when I looked and, being an individual boutique hotel, there wasn’t any announcements within the travel agent scene either. So here is the announcement – Mov Hotel is open and waiting for you!

Evening dip anyone?
We had one night left in KL before flying home and I decided that we needed to spend it here at the Mov Hotel. Nadine was amazing and arranged a night for us in one of the gorgeous Loft Rooms. I was so excited to bring Matt and the kids down, especially after leaving them in the musty smelling hotel room that we were in. (I’m not going to bother telling you about that one…just know that if you are my client, you won’t ever stay there).
Mov Hotel also has an in house restaurant called The Wurst Bar by Chef Logan serving eight gluten-free sausages, as well as tasty options for our vegan and vegetarian friends. I also hear the melted cheese raclette has people coming from far and wide! We didn’t have enough time to try out The Wurst Bar on this trip but I sure will next time.

The kids were so excited to stay here and they weren’t the only ones!
I love watching new businesses get off the ground and being a part of their journey brings me great joy. Mov Hotel was an absolute stand out for us and our highest recommendation for Kuala Lumpur for a family of 3 or 4.

Although the Mov Hotel generously hosted us for the night, my opinions are as always my own and we experienced such wonderful hospitality during our stay. Plus I always feel so much more comfortable sending clients to a hotel that myself and my family have experienced first hand and enjoyed. Thank you Mov Hotel, we hope to be back again soon!
